Privacy Policy

WEMADEK designs and sells handwoven garments, operating from Lagos with hubs in Dubai, Chicago, London and Athens. In this policy, “we” and “us” mean WEMADEK, and “you” means anyone visiting wemadek.com or placing an order with us. For any privacy question, write to hello@wemadek.com.

• Order details — the name, email address, and shipping address you enter at checkout, plus the garment, colour, size, and quantity you selected.
• Account details — if you create an account, the username and profile details you provide so your order history is available to you.
• Payment information — handled entirely by our payment providers. Card numbers never reach our servers; we receive only a confirmation that a payment succeeded, along with the amount and currency.
• Cart and browsing data — your cart is stored in your own browser’s local storage so it survives a page reload. It is not sent to us until you check out.
• Reviews — any name, rating, and review text you choose to submit for publication.

• To take payment for, make, and deliver your order.
• To send order confirmations, receipts, shipping updates, refund notices, and welcome emails for new accounts.
• To answer your questions and to resolve problems with an order.
• To keep records of sales and refunds as required for accounting and tax.

We do not sell your personal information, and we do not use it for advertising profiling.

We share only what each provider needs to do its job on our behalf:

• Stripe — card payments and refunds.
• Paystack — Nigerian card payments and bank transfers.
• Our crypto payment processor — cryptocurrency payments.
• Our email provider — delivery of transactional emails sent from notify.wemadek.com.
• Our hosting and database provider — the platform this site and our order records run on.
• Shipping carriers — the name and address needed to deliver your parcel.

Because our team and providers operate across Nigeria, Ghana, the United Kingdom, and the wider EU/US, your information may be processed outside your own country when we fulfil your order.

We use your browser’s local storage to remember your cart and your signed-in state. Our payment providers may set their own cookies on the checkout step to run and secure the payment. Clearing your browser storage will clear your cart and sign you out.

Order records — including name, email, address, and what was purchased — are kept for as long as needed to support the order and to meet our accounting and tax obligations. Account details are kept until you ask us to delete the account. Published reviews stay up until you ask us to remove them.

Order records are stored in an access-controlled database that is not readable from the public website, and administrative tools are passcode protected. Traffic to wemadek.com is encrypted in transit. No system can be guaranteed perfectly secure, so please use a strong password and tell us immediately if you suspect a problem with your account.

You can ask us to give you a copy of the personal information we hold about you, correct it, delete it, or stop using it for a particular purpose. You can also unsubscribe from non-essential emails at any time — we will still send transactional messages about an order you have placed. Email hello@wemadek.com with your request and your order ID where relevant, and we will respond within 30 days.

Our store is intended for adults. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 16. If you believe a child has given us their details, contact us and we will delete them.

We may update this policy as our store changes. The date below shows when it was last revised, and material changes will be highlighted on this page.
